One bag holds 2 ounces/60 grams of dried lobster mushrooms. The lobster mushroom is actually a parasitic ascomycete fungus that grows on other mushrooms transforming it into a lobster mushroom. These mushrooms are only found in the wild and each one is carefully hand picked by our foragers. Its vibrant red colour, and shellfish like flavour and aroma led to its name, the lobster mushroom. This aroma and flavour are intensified when dried, making it one of the best mushrooms for drying. These mushrooms are great mixed in with some butter and garlic. They add a delightful flavour to risottos, pastas, broths and soups. They can also be rehydrated and used as any fresh mushroom.
